This Tacoma kitchen remodel blends timeless charm with modern functionality. The transformation began by removing outdated appliances and layered flooring to reveal the home’s original Red Oak hardwoods. New Select Red Oak was seamlessly woven in where needed—including the rear entry—and finished with three coats of natural Glista for a cohesive, beautifully restored surface. The kitchen layout was reimagined to enhance flow, function, and everyday usability. A new coffee bar was added, providing both convenience and a standout feature in the space. Rich navy-blue cabinetry pairs with warm American Walnut butcher block countertops and brushed gold hardware for a look that’s both refined and inviting. A handcrafted 5" x 5" Zellij Plaza Satin tile backsplash introduces artisanal texture, while updated plumbing fixtures and matching appliances round out the space. The result is a kitchen that honors the home’s original character while delivering thoughtful upgrades in layout, materials, and performance.
